"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus said in a recent interview that it's difficult to say goodbye to the co-stars that are killed off on the show.
Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, was asked about the process of letting go of characters and co-stars once they leave the show, and the actor said it was a particularly emotional thing to deal with.
“It’s hard. It’s hard always to say goodbye to people on the show. Some characters it’s harder to say goodbye to than others,” Reedus said. “They’re all good friends of ours. It’s always hard but, when it’s certain characters, it’s really hard.”
The interview came ahead of the season seven premiere, in which it was revealed that one major character would be killed off the show at the hands of new villain, Negan. The character of Negan is portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
"The Walking Dead" returns on Oct. 23 on AMC.
