Chris Evans Potentially Joining Lionsgate's 'Jekyll'

Chris Evans is reportedly getting closer to grabbing the lead role of Tom Jackman in Lionsgate's "Jekyll."

The feature film, which is being developed from the 2007 BBC One series, is set to be produced by Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman, Deadline reports. It does not yet have a director.

With "Jekyll," Evans would shed his good-guy persona that he crafted in "Captain America" for a much darker role.

Evans’ role is not yet confirmed for the project, which is being penned by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry.
